The minimum number of participants per category is 5. If the minimum number of participants in a category is not reached, the participants will be categorised in the next lower category (e.g. Senior Master Men in the Master Men category).

• Cash prizes over 2000€ and non-cash prizes of around 10,000€
• Cash prizes for the top three male and female winners of the „König vom Bayerwald“ (444, 333, 222 €)
• Cash prizes for the top three male and female winners of the "Osser-Riesen" (333, 222, 111 €)

It is mandatory to have the following equipment with you throughout the competition:

• Wind/rain jacket
• Drinking container for at least 1 liter (no drinking cups at the aid stations)
• Emergency equipment (first aid kit with plasters, wound dressing, bandage, rescue blanket)
• Mobile phone with stored emergency number (will be announced)

In bad or cold weather, we strongly recommend that you take additional protective clothing with you (headgear, gloves, long running pants, etc.) and rely on personal responsibility.

The organizer can check whether the mandatory equipment is carried along during the competition before the start, on the route or at the finish. Failure to carry the mandatory equipment will result in time penalties or disqualification.
